FBK Promotes Nicky South to Branch Manager
McPherson, KS — First Bank Kansas is pleased to announce the promotion of Nicky South from Branch Operations Supervisor to Vice President Branch Manager at its McPherson branch.
South has been with First Bank Kansas since 2014, beginning her career as a Customer Service Representative before advancing to Personal Banker and later Branch Operations Supervisor. Her progression reflects her strong leadership skills, commitment to customer service, and dedication to both her team and the community she serves.
As Branch Manager, South will oversee daily branch operations while continuing to strengthen relationships with customers and support the financial needs of the McPherson community. Although she resides in Inman, Kansas, she values the family-oriented atmosphere of McPherson and is excited to be more involved in the local community through her new role.
South is an active community volunteer and regularly supports local initiatives such as Brush Up Mac and Mini Main events each year. She is passionate about giving back and looks forward to deepening First Bank Kansas’s presence in McPherson.
“My favorite thing about FBK is how family-oriented it is,” Nicky said. “I always feel supported and encouraged to succeed, and I’m grateful for the opportunity to continue growing with the bank and serving the McPherson community.”
South holds a bachelor’s degree in communications with a minor in art from Sterling College. Prior to joining First Bank Kansas, she worked for a bank in Vermont before relocating to McPherson to be closer to family. She grew up in Lenora, Kansas, in the northwest part of the state.
Outside of work, South enjoys baking and cooking and spending time tending to her garden, where she grows flowers and vegetables that she preserves through canning. She is married to Allen, and together they have two children: Caleb, a high school senior, and Emery, who is in sixth grade.
