Jeni Farrell Promoted to Enterprise Risk Officer
Salina, KS — First Bank Kansas is pleased to announce the promotion of Jeni Farrell to Enterprise Risk Officer, effective immediately.

Farrell joined First Bank Kansas in May 2023 as a Credit Analyst and has quickly demonstrated a strong aptitude for identifying risk, solving complex problems, and viewing the bank’s operations holistically. In her new role as Enterprise Risk Officer, she will oversee risk management across the organization, working to protect both customers and the bank by identifying potential risks and developing proactive solutions.

“Jeni brings a unique combination of analytical skill, leadership experience, and a deep understanding of risk management,” said Angie Eilrich, Chief Operations Officer and Executive Vice President of First Bank Kansas. “Her ability to see the big picture and proactively address risk makes her an excellent fit for this role, and we are excited to see her continue to grow and make an impact for our customers and our bank.”

With a lifelong passion for math and problem-solving, Farrell brings a strong educational background to the position. She holds a Master’s degree in Educational Leadership from Fort Hays State University and a Bachelor of Arts in Mathematics and Secondary Education from Kansas Wesleyan University. Before transitioning into banking, Farrell spent several years teaching in schools in Derby and Salina, experiences that strengthened her analytical thinking and leadership skills.

For the past three years, Farrell worked remotely from Texas and is excited to be back in Salina, where she looks forward to serving the local community in her new role. Originally from Osborne, Kansas, she values the importance of community banking and the role it plays in keeping local customers financially secure.

“Enterprise risk management allows me to look at the bank as a whole,” Farrell said. “My goal is to help ensure First Bank Kansas remains a safe, trusted institution for our customers and our community.”

Outside of work, Farrell is married to her husband Josh, and together they enjoy playing pickleball and spending time with their two dogs. In her free time, she also enjoys sewing, cooking, and reading.

First Bank Kansas is a community bank headquartered in Salina, Kansas, and was recently voted Best Bank and Best Place to Work. The bank remains committed to serving its customers with integrity, security, and a strong focus on community relationships.
