Everything is coming up tulips as we travel to Pella, Iowa.  “America’s Dutch Treasure”  is beautiful and unique all year long, but at Tulip Time it comes alive with Tulips.  Enjoy a touch of Holland as we stroll through the magnificent tulip gardens and see the many examples of how Pella preserves and promotes their Dutch Heritage.  Let us become Dutch for a day with a feeling of Holland.

    • Visit the tallest working windmill in North America.  It is an 1850’s style grain mill with five floors.  Climb up the windmill to watch millers grind flour 
  • One hour step-on-guide tour of Pella, Iowa

    • Pella’s mechanical salute to its Dutch heritage where we will hear this carillon clock with it’s 147 bell chimes

    • A destination in the rolling hills of Iowa, this beautiful winery is surrounded by vineyards and are makers of award-winning wines ranging from dry to sweet
  • John Wayne Birthplace Museum 

    • A 6,100 square foot museum adjacent to the birthplace home is the largest diversified exhibit of John Wayne artifacts in existence, including original movie posters, film wardrobe, scripts, contracts, letters, artwork and sculpture, and even one of his last customized automobiles. The only museum in the world dedicated to John Wayne, the facility naturally includes a movie theatre

  • Step-on-guide Tour of The Roseman Covered Bridge

    • A historic covered bridge featured in the novel, “The Bridges of Madison County”
  • Imes Covered Bridge

    • The oldest of the remaining wooden covered bridges built in 1870
  • Northside Cafe

    • The Bridges of Madison County was written from the window seat booth in this historic building and was featured in the 1995 film “The Bridges of Madison County”
